FORMAT QUESTIONS
About ASS files
What is ASS best used for?
ASS works especially well for fansubs, karaoke timing, styled captions, and complex on-screen placement.
What can change during conversion?
SRT, VTT, and TXT cannot retain every override tag, font, animation, or position. Features that do not exist in the chosen output format cannot be carried across exactly.
Should I keep the original ASS file?
Yes. Keep the original until you have opened the result and checked its layout, quality, data, media tracks, or other important details.
